Strathbran

3 June 1915

This Aberdeen registered steam trawler (A 137), was captured by U-19 (Constantin Kolbe) and sunk by gunfire thirty five miles ESE of the Pentland Skerries. There were no casualties.

The Strathbran was built of steel in 1899 by Hall Russell's for the Aberdeen Steam Trawling & Fishing Co. Ltd.  Her dimensions were 102' x 21'6" x 11'7" and she was 163 gross registered tons.
