This Dundee Sloop with a cargo of coal, got into difficulties at the entrance to Wick Harbour and eventually went ashore to the East of the harbour. Mr William Williamson, a local Pilot, got together a crew of six men and they set out in the Pilot Boat. With heavy seas repeatedly breaking over them, they succeeded in saving the Sister's crew of six. The RNLI later awarded a Silver Medal to Mr Williamson for his gallantry.
