Rathkenny

Whilst under the command of Captain Hill, this Belfast registered iron steamship stranded approximately 2 miles west of Dunnet Head light, while carrying a general cargo and iron ore.

The Rathkenny was built of iron in 1856.  She was 166’ long and had a beam of 23'  She was 417 gross registered tons.
