This Belgian registered iron built steam trawler, under the command of Captain Declere ran ashore on rocks at the north side of Berriedale in the early hours of Sunday, near the spot where the Norwegian wooden brig, Roskva, had been wrecked two years earlier. The John o' Groat reported that "having ascertained that the bow was holed and water making rapidly, the crew, nine in all, including the captain and engineer, took to their small boat to effect a landing. They were unable to take anything with them but the clothes in which they stood. By continuous shouting they attracted the attention of some people on shore and as daylight broke they were enabled to effect a landing on the shore at Berriedale."
