This Inverness registered steam trawler (INS 553), was built of wood in 1908 by Alexander Slater of Lossiemouth for Wm. Slater and others of Lossiemouth. She cost £1000 new.
She was 76 gross registered tons and was fitted with a 16 inch compound engine made by Lewis of Torry, Aberdeen. She had a length of 87.40ft, breadth 19.00ft and depth of 8.30ft.
She was requisitioned for war service in 1915-1919 for use as an anti-submarine net vessel and minesweeper and fitted with a 3-pounder gun.
