The Wick registered fishing boat, Fisher Boy WK 152, went ashore at Brims Ness when returning from the fishing grounds. Thurso lifeboat and the Life Saving Apparatus were called out, but the crew scrambled ashore aided by local men.
The insurers sold the wreck to the owners, who by cutting a hole in the side of the boat salvaged the engine and winch and installed into their replacement boat the Star of Peace.
