This Mandal, Norway, registered wooden brigantine owned by B. G. Fischer, Mandal, departed Mandal for Peterhead, carrying staves under the command of Master W. Williamson. On Saturday the 5th March a vessel was seen drifting bottom up off Freswick Bay, which then struck a shoal and floated off. Wreckage was then seen floating out of her and was later picked up. Amongst the wreckage was a nameboard marked 'CONCORDIA', a Norwegian ensign and pilot jack, also some seamen's clothes, and a quantity of staves. There was no trace of her crew of four.
The Concordia was built in Norway in 1868 and was about 40 tons.
